Message from Carlo Salteri

When I came to Australia in 1951, I came to a young country with opportunity, optimism, vitality, and enthusiasm for the future. I came with an education, a privilege I am forever grateful to my parents for encouraging and nurturing.

I have been very lucky in Australia, I have a wonderful family who have all been educated and grown up in Australia. Our business has prospered.

Over the years, our success has enabled us to assist those in our community who have not been as fortunate. It has given us great pleasure to be able to assist charities and other organisations in their endeavours to help those in our community who need an education to have a fair chance in life and those who need medical assistance.

It gives me great delight, together with my four children, Paul, Mary, Adriana and Robert to establish the Tenix Foundation to continue this charitable work.

The Foundation will support Australian charitable organisations working in the areas of:

  • Underprivileged children - our children are the future of Australia and all Australian children deserve the opportunity to succeed.
  • Education - an education is a passport to success and provides the opportunity for our children to achieve success for themselves and our country.
  • Research - particularly in the area of medical research, helps to cure many illnesses and enable people to live a healthy and happy life.

The Salteri family is committed to providing $1 million annually for the works of the Foundation.

I am very pleased that the Tenix Foundation is able to assist those in need in our community, and particularly underprivileged children, to have a bright and prosperous future.
